Basal dental implantation (immediate load)

Sometimes classical implantation is impossible. Atrophy of bone tissue does not allow performing this type of operation. Thinned bone makes it impossible to use traditional methods in surgical dentistry. But don’t be upset.

What are basal dental implants?

There are many educated people, enthusiastic scientists in the world. Thanks to them, medicine is developing, allowing doctors to use the most effective ways to restore health. Basal implantation ( or implants for everybody) is a great achievement in dentistry. It is usually resorted to when the bone has undergone significant changes. Atrophy is the result of the following factors:

  • abnormal structure of the jaw;

  • long course of the inflammatory process;

  • jaw injury etc.

Basal implant has the shape of an inverted "T". Doctor fixes it in the bottom of the jaw bone and a ceramic crown is incremented on the implant. It is an excellent replacement for a tooth: it has aesthetic appearance and is fully involved in the process of chewing food.

Basal implants: shortcomings

The main disadvantages of this operation include the inability to restore a single tooth. It requires at least the absence of 3 teeth. Another disadvantage is that many dentists do not have special training and experience in carrying out this operation.

Basal implant technology

The operation involves all layers of the jawbone, even the basal layer. It is the most durable, resistant to inflammatory diseases. In very severe cases the basal implant will be your salvation on the way to health and beauty of your smile.

Basal implants are installed at a certain angle in certain places. There are several types of materials from which to choose after careful analysis of the situation.

Procedural steps

  • Diagnostic. Usually takes 1 - 2 days. Includes examining the bone tissue and all teeth. The patient passes tests to rule out a variety of diseases, one of which may be a contraindication.

  • Virtual modeling. Includes determining the desired shape and size of the implants and the required angle. The patient at this stage of treatment already knows what basal implantation is. At this stage the he is informed about the procedure and the technique.

  • Installing implants. After induction of anesthesia a puncture is performed. No incision, no stitches.

  • Prosthetics. It is carried out after 2 - 3 days after implant placement. Implants take root immediately, as an abutment combined from intraosseous part of it. Temporary prostheses are made. They are implanted for one year and are very comfortable in terms of the chewing process.

  • Permanent dentures. It is conducted one year after the installation of a temporary prosthesis. The permanent prosthesis can be made from any material.
